David Fox has an impressive record of adding value to upstream petroleum projects at every phase of their life cycle.
Some examples of our achievements are:
Facilitating the development of an 80 million barrel North Sea discovery, dormant
for many years, bringing together two groups through operation of a joint 3-month extended
well test employing original solutions to maximise effectiveness and reduce costs,
resulting in financial self-sufficiency.
Persuading an unenthusiastic operator to develop a 100 million barrel discovery, by
producing a development plan and securing agreement with other joint venture partners to
ensure that the operator implemented the plan. The outcome substantially exceeds the
operators original expectations.
Acquisition of an operated interest in a 30 million barrel North Sea oil discovery
and realisation of a low-cost and low-risk solution to its simultaneous appraisal and
accelerated development. Meets the companys key objectives of adding value
and increased operatorship.
Strategic planning for the New Ventures division of a large oil company.
Negotiation (as Operator) of three unitisation agreements in the UK; each was
achieved against tight deadlines.
Negotiation of a contract, with minimum capital investment, for production from a
30 million barrel oil field.
Negotiation of the fiscal and engineering aspects of international exploration and
production agreements - e.g. in Algeria and Madagascar, where the results are among the
most fiscally attractive within those countries.
Compiling and publishing a 6-volume report comparing and critiquing fiscal terms
and the economics of oil field development in 116 countries around the world. Still used
by the industry and attracting buyers.
Planning, designing and supervising a 5-well drilling and testing programme to
appraise an onshore oil discovery in Egypt. Completed on time and within budget.
